Online Psilocybin Therapy with Experienced Guides: What to Expect

We provide microdosing and macrodosing guidance, preparatory mind-set, and integrative psychotherapy for psilocybin. One of the main things that online psilocybin therapy allows us to do is connect deeply with our clients so that we can feel what they’re feeling to help them navigate the mushroom world.

Lydian and I work with individuals to provide integrative psychotherapy as well as psilocybin trip-sitting. We also do Constellations Therapy with Psilocybin to heal relationships and families.

We always encourage our clients to find a space for their therapy sessions where they can sit and have contact with at least some plants and natural items in it for the first trip. The mushrooms often draw from nature to speak about metaphors regarding life and these metaphors are really valuable. The space should also be quiet and private such that you won’t be interrupted by a phone, a knock at the door, music from an apartment next door, etc. We don’t usually recommend that our clients listen to music during their trips because they’re trying to access feelings that are stuck in the body. Music can sometimes manipulate or alter the trajectory of a feeling and we want to avoid that and instead tune into the negative emotions and feel them and experience them as they are so that they can be released.

If you don’t have a safe, quiet place that you can go to to be in nature during your trip, you might instead purchase a bouquet of flowers and light a candle (put it in a safe place where it can burn safely and not catch your house on fire) during your trip.

How Many Online Mushroom Trips Should I Do?

The mushrooms help us make a powerful “felt sense” connection directly to our clients so that they aren’t alone with their feelings during a trip. Clients are “conversing” with the mushrooms when they’re tripping. So, it’s like the client is making a coffee date to speak to these wise beings who have the ability to tap into much deeper levels of healing than what talk therapy can do. A typical trip lasts between 4 to 6 hours and a lot of work gets done in that time, but the mushrooms know if you’re going to do 1 or 3 or many trips with them and they adjust their messages accordingly. A client who chooses 1 trip will get a very cursory overview of their core problem so that they can feel better and experience life more fully while a person who is ready to make major life transition with 10 or more trips will receive more details and an experience of multiple, powerful lessons that are connected to each other and that build on each other.

On the other hand, people who have had major or multiple traumatic experiences in their lives, people who have treatment resistant depression, postpartum depression, anger issues, ADHD, anxiety, multiple personality disorder (dissociative identity disorder / DID), panic attacks, relationship issues, sexual issues etc. can all benefit from multiple psilocybin trips online. Many of our clients work with us to resolve individual psychological wellness issues while others have serious relationship issues that they need to address. We regard these issues as relationship-with-self or relationship-with-self-with-other. Essentially, a married person who’s depressed, for example, is likely to experience relief from depression as well as better relationship dynamics as a result of doing online mushroom therapy even if she does individual therapy.

Imagine that you are setting up a coffee date with a very wise Being of Light. This wise Being knows when you’ve made the commitment to take action even before you ingest the mushrooms. It also knows how long it will have to work with you in terms of the number of trips that you decide to do. It knows if you plan to do microdosing or not and it plans its teachings accordingly so that when you meet up for the coffee date, it can speak to you with the greatest force to provide you with the greatest benefit in the shortest period of time.

What to Expect During a Psilocybin Trip with Us

When you make your payment to do an online psilocybin trip with us, we help you locate psilocybin mushrooms for sale to do macrodosing and/or microdosing at your home in the country where you live (as long as you can access psilocybin mushrooms in your country). We schedule an appointment to discuss your health profile and to determine the safety of psilcobyin mushrooms for you in terms of any health conditions that you’re suffering from. We make recommendations regarding the proper dieta to follow in the lead up to your mushroom trip(s) with us to ensure that you get the most out of your journey with us. We give guidance regarding the proper psilocybin dose (microdosing and macrodosing) and when the time comes for your mushroom trip, we take approximately the same dosage at the same time with you.

If you are concerned about experiencing nausea or vomiting, we’ll make recommendations to you about how to avoid nausea and vomiting related to physical toxicities. Many people (about 1 out of 4) do experience nausea and/or vomiting at some point during their mushroom trips due to emotional toxicities. Nausea and vomiting is usually only a problem when people are resisting negative emotions that they don’t want to fully feel and embody, even temporarily.

When you do your first psilocybin trip, you might feel afraid of what you’ll confront inside your own mind. That’s okay. Most people are afraid of opening that Pandora’s box, but after they do it, they say that it wasn’t so bad and they feel so much better that they wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Confronting the fear of oneself is one of the most powerful things a person can do in their lifetime and it often completely changes a person’s relationship to death, to life, and to other people and to the world in general.

Everyone experiences a feeling of resistance when they take the mushrooms whether its the first time or the 50th time. This is normal. Most of this resistance sounds like an inner dialogue and only a few people feel nausea or vomiting on a psilocybin trip.

During the trip, we stay online with you during the entire trip if you want. Or we stay available via phone or online video until we hear from you that you’ve completed your trip. Someone is always available nearby at our facility during our online psilocybin trip sitting who has not taken mushrooms to help out with issues that might arise during the trip as well.

Most therapeutic psilocybin trips with us follow a fairly predictable trajectory at a moderate dose which is what most clients prefer to start with. It takes between 30 minutes to an hour to begin feeling the effects of the mushrooms and then many people experience some amount of mental “chatter” for about an hour when the effects start. Some clients are less likely to experience this chatter than others but when it happens, it is often experienced as a struggle to silence the inner voice so as to “hear” the voice of the mushroom which is, in reality, the same inner voice (the voice of your logical mind dictating to you the experiences of the body). During this time, clients often feel irritable or uncomfortable in ways that are hard to define. Putting words to the feelings can help release them at this time, so we often ask questions to assist with the development of the client’s narrative if we feel like the client is struggling. Clients who do the trip alone with one of us on standby are encouraged to contact us if they feel “stuck” during the trip. Otherwise, we expect that clients will prefer silence and privacy.

Mushrooms work with the “felt sense”, a concept that was given a name by Dr. Peter Levine, one of the most famous experts in the field of trauma-informed psychotherapy. The felt sense is essentially the way the body feels in response to an experience. The felt sense can be hijacked by traumatic experiences that produce a feeling that is overpowering and terrifying (and thus, we try to resist feeling it). A traumatic experience creates a split between the mind and the body that causes the mind to stop receiving information about the way the body feels. The experience of feeling emotions then becomes gummed up and essentially, because the human experience – life and being alive – involves feeling emotions, people begin to lead a half-life that isn’t in tune with who they want to be and how they want to feel and experience the world.

The first hour or two (or sometimes three) after the effects of the mushrooms kicks in, many clients experience waves of negative emotions that are seeking to be released from the body. These emotions can be conceptualized as “personalities” (Internal Family Systems Theory) or “soul parts” (Shamanism). The process of releasing a negative emotion or “hearing” what a particular personality / soul part has to say is simply to feel it. The mind often tries to interfere in this process by talking about the feeling or other things like concerns about the psilocybin dose (whether too high or too low), whether or not the trip is going the way that it is supposed to go, and whether or not the client is “doing it right”, etc.. Negative thought-judgments emerge during this time and clients may have periods of intense emotions followed by brief “naps” when the mushrooms rewire the brain and the body. We call this “cycling”. Some clients try to avoid the feelings through dissociation (running away or distracting oneself with thoughts) or by suppressing the feelings. In our experience men tend to be more successful at suppressing emotions during mushroom trips (though there are exceptions) and those with multiple personalities that are not well integrated also have to use Intention along with support from a guide to bring forward these emotions and feel them so that they can be released (so as to integrate personalities). It is sometimes possible for people to resist trauma release, though multiple trips on the same trauma typically end in release. It also sometimes happens that people simply have to do multiple trips on the same trauma because it was a repetitive trauma (like when an adult was severely neglected during childhood). Having an experience psilocybin guide means that you have someone available who can help you hijack your own resistance to certain feelings using the “felt sense” rather than words and other techniques to help the negative feelings move through the body so that they can be released. Psilocybin guides can receive negative emotions and “pass them through” when necessary.

A psilocybin guide can work with clients in a variety of ways. Many psilocybin guides haven’t actually worked intensively with psilocybin mushrooms, but those who have may be able to assist in the retrieval of soul parts or personalities through a shared mushroom trip online. This occurs through an energetic exchange wherein the client uses Intention to search for their lost soul part (which is experienced in normal daily consciousness as a powerful, yet alien-feeling emotion, as well as embarrassment, brain fog, anger or irritation). The psilocybin guide assists in the search for the soul part to bring it forward through emotional support and allowing that soul part to be fully seen.

Soul retrievals using psilocybin mushrooms often don’t occur on the first psilocybin trip just because the body is often not functioning optimally and most clients feel a lot of conflict that makes soul parts reluctant to re-embody the body. Clients who feel like they’ve lost something or like life has no meaning are often lacking major soul parts that have taken resources and energy into another realm. PTSD and traumatic experiences often cause significant soul loss and the loss of vitality.

Around the second to third hour after taking the mushrooms, people typically “peak” and there’s a shift wherein the tone of the trip changes from waves of negative emotions to solution-oriented thinking and positive feelings. Peaking may also entail a sudden loss of “thoughts” expressed in words inside the client’s mind, like a sense of awe when one reaches the top of a mountain after a long climb. This shift doesn’t always occur in people who are able to resist the experience of the negative feelings that need to be expressed during the initial 2 hours of the trip. Resisting the feeling-content of the trip is sometimes a part of the process of healing for some people. In these situations, clients often require 1-3 trips to get through the traumatic material all the way to the end. One of the main purposes of having a psilocybin guide is to help the client cue up the content that needs processing at the beginning of the trip. At the end of the trip, one of the main purposes of having a psilocybin guide is to complete the processing and move the emotional content from the right brain into the linguistic and logical left brain. If you go on a shroom trip and never talk about the depth of your experience, it can be challenging to retain the wisdom of the trip in your normal waking, left-brain-oriented consciousness. Talking to another person, a psilocybin guide, can help you realize the breadth of your experience and integrate it into your normal, daily conscious experience.

As psilocybin guides, one of our team works with you during the first 30-60 minutes after you take the psilocybin dose to discuss Intention. This discussion helps to prime the logical brain for the trip so that you are in a frame of mental focus to be less resistant and more open to feeling what there is to feel. Once the trip begins fully, clients are encouraged to sit back quietly and only speak when they feel compelled to speak. If you prefer to do your trip solo and logoff, that’s also fine. In fact, the ideal situation is where you seek out a setting in a nature-y environment and you have a balanced sense of privacy and support. As guides, we do the whole trip with you online if you want or we can simply be available to you throughout the trip on an as-needed basis and speak online at the beginning and again at the end of the trip to integrate the experience.

We do psilocybin couples therapy online as well as individual psilocybin therapy online. We typically book an additional 1 hour session with couples to discuss their issues prior to doing the actual online mushroom therapy. This 1 hour session is used to discuss the goals and negative dynamics of the relationship that the couple would like to change.

Why Integrative Psychotherapy Is Important?

After your online psilocybin therapy session, we take some time to help you put words to the experience so that your logical mind can hold onto the “felt sense” of the body with clarity and insight. Integrative psychotherapy with mushrooms is best done either at the end of the trip or within 24 hours of the trip. Our experience has been that it’s best to do psilocybin integration immediately following the trip within a few hours, but ideally just as the client is beginning to come out of the trip.

People in the industrialized world are very mind-oriented and our logic, though often flawed and hypocritical, overrides the felt-sense of our wild, animal / human nature. For this reason, we need to talk to someone who can listen without critical, judgmental logic to bring the experience of being alive and human into our logical consciousness for integration. When people first begin working with psilocybin, the logical mind is often powerful and presiding over the body’s felt sense with an iron fist. So it’s important to recruit the logical mind into an understanding of the psilocybin experience as soon as possible following the psilocybin therapy using integrative psychotherapy.

Work with a Psilocybin Microdosing Coach Online

Having a psilocybin microdosing coach makes a positive difference in terms of how you process your experience on psilocybin. In shamanic medicine, psilocybin mushrooms have been most administered as macrodoses to produce powerful psychoactive effects, but modern man has begun working with psilocybin mushrooms in new ways. Microdosing psilocybin mushrooms is just another way of working with this medicine to produce change, albeit more slowly than doing macrodosing sessions.

Our team has done a great deal of psilocybin microdosing over the course of time so we can attest to the fact that this is a medicine that gives you what you need when you’re ready and able to receive it. That’s the magic of psilocybin. So, if you’re microdosing with psilocybin at the same dose day-after-day, you may still experience stronger effects at times when you need more guidance in your life. Learning to “follow the mushrooms” and “listen to the guidance from the mushrooms” and really hear it and feel it and not discount your experience while working with this medicine is vital. Most of us live within a culture that dismisses the magic of nature, so our goal is to help you see what you see, hear what you hear, and feel what you feel and acknowledge those experiences as legitimate and valuable not only to yourself but also to other people too.

Psilocybin Microdosing Coaching can be done with John and/or Naing Naing or with Lydian and/or Jennifer depending on your situation and our psilocybin integrative psychotherapy schedule. Men often benefit a great deal from a man’s perspective while women benefit from a woman’s perspective. We work with LGBTQ clients. Helping LGBTQ clients experience their own position and connection to their family tree and the ancestry is a powerful experience that can give new meaning to sexual orientation and its role in our lives.

Each time one of us works as a psilocybin microdosing coach with a client, we follow the trajectory of guidance that we receive prior to our sessions. We don’t follow a cookie-cutter approach to working with our clients because we want to leave plenty of space for change to happen. The natural time period that we tend to spend with each client is 1 hour.

Our psilocybin microdose coaching sessions include intention setting. We discuss whatever is going on in the client’s life and topics that the client may need to approach and work with in depth. We provide models and “containers” for difficult material to give patients a way to work with trauma within limits that are safe, but we also encourage our clients to work with the concept of “magic” and possibility to open the mind and explore new territory.
